Agile Software Development

Our proven, iterative software development methodology combines our automated
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline with the agile scrum
methodology to address dynamic requirements and stakeholder needs. Our focus on User
Experience (UX) results in Human Centered Design (HCD) with clean, efficient applications.
Already applied to mission-critical systems across Federal agencies such as the DOJ, DoD, and
GSA, our software development methodology offers a low-risk template for customer success.

DevSecOps

CI/CD Pipelines
Agile5 implements DevSecOps to improve our customers’ security posture and facilitate faster time to market. Testing, 508 accessibility, and cyber security are “shifted left” and automated from the beginning of a project’s life cycle. Agile5 enables DevSecOps with a day-one ready reference implementation of our automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Continuous Authority to Operate (ATO)
Agile5’s DevSecOps approach and CI/CD reference implementation offer our customers a continuous Authority to Operate (ATO) capability that improves the overall security posture and reduces manual effort. Real-time, accurate, and comprehensive dashboard views show compliance results from our Automated Compliance Engine (ACE©) and other scanning tools. ATO documentation inputs are automatically generated and saved to ease communication with ISSOs and authorizing personnel.

Cloud Capabilities

Since 2018, Agile5 has planned and executed the migration of legacy, on-premises
IT systems to the cloud, including mission-critical systems across Federal agencies such as the
DOJ, DoD, and GSA. As we have migrated these legacy systems, Agile5 has gained crucial
hands-on experience developing common processes, tools, templates, Infrastructure as Code
(IaC), and platform services. Our experience ranges from hybrid on-premises/cloud
environments to full cloud deployments using container orchestration technologies such as
native Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and AWS ECS. Our customers benefit from our cloud vendor-
agnostic approach that builds flexible Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a
Service (IaaS) components.

Biometrics

Biometric enterprise systems administration, development, and O&M: Agile5 has provided biometric systems administration, integration, new feature development, and O&M since 2012 for the DOJ and DoD. For example, we built the new iris modality for the DOJ in 2021 to include new business workflows, EBTS-based interfaces, and gallery search capabilities.
Algorithm updates and integration: Agile5 has experience both upgrading and integrating a vendor’s biometric algorithm updates and “recharacterizing” the legacy data. We recharacterized all of the DOJ’s biometric records in 2012 and 2018 during vendor COTS upgrades.

The Automated Compliance Engine (ACE^©) custom tool ensures your cloud infrastructure is in continuous compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53 Recommended Security Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations. User-friendly dashboard views can be customized for your scan results.

ACE^© includes a pre-populated security rule set that evaluates the configuration of the most popular Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High Amazon Web Services (AWS) services to ensure compliance with all applicable NIST 800-53 controls. Additional cloud services and platforms are forthcoming.

ACE^© allows for customization to tailor rule evaluation to your organizational needs. It also provides robust Application Programming Interface (API) access for easy inclusion in your infrastructure and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
