What Our Employees Say
I feel very fortunate to work for a team that cares not just about performance, but about overall well-being and quality of life outside of work.
Shannon Proud Phillips
My favorite thing about Agile5 is that they give you the freedom to guide your career. Agile5 fosters an environment that encourages personal and professional growth and stays engaged with its employees on what their objectives and goals are.
From the emphasis on work/life balance to the support and encouragement I have received from all levels of management, the transition into my new career has been made that much easier.
It has been rewarding to watch Agile5 grow from a scrappy startup back in 2011 to where we are now. Our customers trust us and know we care deeply about their mission.
My favorite part about Agile5 is the people. Everyone is willing to help and do anything they can to solve any issue that comes up.
Agile5 has been an excellent place to work. The management does an excellent job of supporting the employees and facilitating their professional development. The combination of smaller company size and excellent management has created an environment that allows for the best implementation of the Agile methodology I have encountered in my career. The atmosphere at Agile5 is an excellent place that allows for support, development, and exceptional productivity. I am proud to have been able to contribute to the projects that Agile5 has allowed me to be a part of.
Agile5 puts huge emphasis on employee engagement and advancement. They understand that the success of the company is directly tied to the success of their people and it shows!
I appreciate that I get the chance to learn about new technologies with my team. I think the leadership is great at understanding what is needed for us to succeed and helping us achieve a fantastic work-life balance. I’m also glad I got to move back to my home state to work for a company that’s based here in WV.
Working at Agile5 has been great for learning about working with a team on a project and all the procedures that go with it such as daily standups, sprint plannings, and refinements when needed. It has also been exceptionally helpful for getting experience with languages I haven’t experienced at WVU, especially Python.
My favorite memory from Agile5 was when Pete and Chet brought us lunch on one of our in-person days. It was really cool to hear their stories about their career path and the different projects they’ve worked on.
Here at Agile5 I’ve learned that coding is best as a collaborative process. What we can accomplish as a team is much greater than what any one of us can accomplish alone. As an intern, the support I get from the rest of the team has helped me grow as a software engineer. The team dynamic here is unmatched!
I am glad I chose such a great company for my first-ever work experience. I love that from day one we were treated as part of the team despite being interns. For the first time in my life, I have taken skills learned in the classroom and have directly applied them to real-world solutions. Since beginning work here, I can confidently say that I am a much better software developer than when I started. I have learned what enterprise-level software projects look like, how they are managed, and what problems can arise in development. I doubt that any class could teach me about software development as well as this experience and I look forward to learning even more as I work with Agile 5 in the future.
I chose to be a founder of Agile5 because I really wanted to take control of the projects we worked on and I chose the people to do it with. Being part of a large company just seemed like a small fish in a big pond.
At Agile5 I can have my cake and eat it too! As a mother and professional, I did not think it was possible to have both. I love that Agile5 gives me flexibility and encourages me to be there for the small and big moments with my family. I also love that they encourage me to be a better professional and stay on top of my game. I am proud of what I do and the company I work for and I do not think many people can say that.
I love that Agile5 is WV-established, owned, and operated. I think that’s part of the reason for my love of the company’s culture. It’s small and close-knit, made up of so many dedicated, intelligent people, fun and full of character. But while it’s small in the sense that we are family, everyone in the company has a growth mindset, focusing on big ideas. I love to see our growth both in size and in the development of our skills, knowledge, and services. At Agile5 I feel respected, valued, and challenged, and I appreciate the flexibility that allows for perfect work-life balance.
I love working at Agile5 as the work-life balance is both fulfilling and rewarding. I am able to be immersed at work, fully diving into meaningful projects with my teammates. Though when it comes time to unplug and take on the next adventure, I am able to disconnect and recharge.
My favorite part of Agile5 is getting to work with a diverse and talented team. I also like that we offer benefits and training opportunities comparable to a large company while still maintaining the agility of a small company.
