FAIRMONT, W.Va (WDTV) – Agile5 Technologies, Inc., a business in Fairmont, has won the West Virginia Small Business Person of the Year Award for 2024.

Lisa Fritsch, Peter Fritsch, Adam Leach, and Chet Tobrey were all part of the team who won the award for the Mountain State.

There were winners from all 50 states and two U.S. territories.

According to the company’s website, Agile5 Technologies helps provide businesses with efficient and affordable software solutions.

“Since 2011, Agile5 Technologies has been supporting over 40 different projects in the Federal Government space, mainly with doing IT transformation of large IT systems using Agile methodology principles,” said Lisa Fritsch, president and CEO of Agile5 Technologies.

Fritsch said from there, the company has grown into what it is today.

Chet Tobrey was the first employee at Agile5 Technologies and has worked his way up.

He says winning the award shows he and his team are on the right track.

“I think all the late nights and early mornings and long days have been worth it, and we don’t do it for the recognition I think, but it is nice to be recognized for something that we’ve all put a lot of time and care into,” said Chet Tobrey, vice president of research and development at Agile5 Technologies.

Fritsch said she is particularly proud of bringing this work to West Virginia and keeping employees local.

“Even though we’re winning work that is with other Federal agencies that aren’t necessarily based in West Virginia, we’re able to bring that work here and actually hire people in the state to support those efforts,” said Fritsch.

Agile5 works with state and Federal government agencies, schools, and commercial clients.
